Haul: Vintage Fair

I started my day today by going to a farmers market where my friend Lindsay (Totally Baked Cakes) had a stall selling the most AMAZING cupcakes.. I had a lemon curd one. mmmm! I wish I could start everyday like that! :)
Then I headed into Liverpool to go to the vintage fashion fair at The Bluecoat and it was really good. There were around 30 stalls filled with vintage clothing, jewelry and handmade crafts.
I only picked up two things from there and then I had a wander around the Liverpool shops. These are the things I got...

I got this little tray/pot from Flo's Fancies stall. It is an old POLICE record that I can now store thing in like rings or bracelets!

Also from Flo was this very cute heart button decoration that I plan to put on a mirror or hang off a door somewhere :)

I found a little book shop and I think there was only about 10 craft books in there! I cant wait to try making one of the 'plush pals'.

This is a postcard I bought from Waterstones. I couldn't not pick this up! I plan to frame it :)

Another postcard from Waterstone's. This is going to be sent in the post to my boyfriend seen as he calls me poo head alot! (He calls me poo face more!)

And FINALLY my book arrived from Play.com. I have read Jenny Colgan's two previous books and seriously loved them! When I have read this one I will be writing a review on them. (May take a while im not a fast reader people!)

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend!

Easter Decorations - Egg garlands and coffee bean chicks?!

Hello there people... I feel like I have been out of the blogging loop for a while... I'm back to show you how I have decorated our coffee shop for Easter.
Now I'm not a big fan of Easter decorations AT ALL! I feel like most things can be tacky and just mehh!! However I love the pastel colours and couldn't be the only one down the street who didn't decorate the shop!
I have a lot of my coffee bean crafts in the shop like my coffee bean wreath I made before Christmas (click HERE) so I though I would stick to the theme and shove a few beans in a wine glass and pop some chickens on top... like ya do! Somehow I think it works :)
I also found some plastic eggs (like the ones inside Kinder Eggs), threaded some ribbon through them and made them into a garland.. Also I stuck some bows either side to hide the blue tag that I had put them up with ;)
They seem happy!

This is in the shop window, a book about the history of the place...with some chicks!

Mirror garland

Displaying our cakes

More window display (I added more chicks popping out of the grapes!)

Chillin' in the sun! Have I gone chick mad?!?

Simple and easy to do... for the chicks, ribbon and eggs I paid less than £10 all coming from The Range.. favourite shop ever!

This has NOTHING to do with easter but I gather by my blog name you know I love cows.. I saw these in T X Maxx.. how amazing are they!? Corn on the cob holders... COW ONES!! awesome!

Have a lovely Easter everybody.. hope your enjoying the sunshine (I have heard it's forecast to snow next week... whhhaaatt?!)

Ohh La La... The Harrods Edition

Oh me oh my look at this months Glossybox! They teamed up with Harrods and this was the awesome result!!! I received this box when I got home from a trip to London (London post to follow) and it certainly put a smile on my face after a long journey.

Different box design than usual.. pristine white with the Harrods logo.. feels expensive already!

GOODIES!!!!

So first there is the YSL Forever youth liberator serum.. I'm enjoying using it so far the only thing that's a little annoying is the smell.. not oober bad but not nice..

Then we have the sexy looking lipstick by Burberry. Now this smells amazing! I got it in the colour Copper and have inserted some (rather bad) pictures below of what it looks like. The actual lipstick looks matte but when you apply it the glossyness comes alive!

And on the end there is a perfume sample of Narciso Rodriguez-For her.

This Clarins extra firming body cream. I have oober dry skin and this works wonders I must say. Its a really think cream and doesn't feel sticky or greasy at all.

Finally is the Molton Brown heavenly ginger-lily moisture bath and shower. I haven't tried this yet but I have tried Molton Brown things before and they have all be great.

All in all this is probably one of the best Glossy boxes I have ever received. Not only is the money way more than you have paid for but this is the first box that I have know the brand of every single products.
Go team Harrods!

Did you enjoy your GlossyBox this month??

Tiger Haul: New obsession

So I'm in London visiting my boyfriend at the moment but every time I come on my jolly's here I make a list of places I want to go to. My boyfriend just loves it! (wink wink) This time one of the places on my list was the shop Tiger. I have heard about Tiger on many blogs and youtube channels including (one of my favourite youtubers) Essie Button. When she did a haul from Tiger it was official.. I HAD to go there! The shop is basically filled with bits and bobs of homewear etc and its just...cute! It was my second attempted to find thew store but I got there eventually. I went to the one in Lewisham.

The store is so inviting and their displays are really nice!

Ok even the bag is cute!!

Firstly I got these AMAZING mustache soap dispensers. I actually bought these for our coffee shop customer toilets. Im tempted to go back and get another for my bathroom. They cost just £2 each!

Sticking to the mustache theme (who doesn't like a mustache hey) I bought these scourer sponges for £1 but I intend to use them as decoration at the shop.

Most boring thing I bought was this huge paddle brush for £1.

Every time I go to Starbucks there is always a pack of two of these on the counter for 95p which I always buy , they are just so yummy.. in Tiger they were 6 for £1.. bargain! You can't tell from this picture but they were opened immediately..I could't resist.

I bought this China Balm for £1..its meant for muscles aches and pains. I have a lot of trouble with my shoulder and after a massage the other week it has gone better but still hurts so I'm going to try this out. Smells RANK like all muscles things do! Actually I just smelt it again and it smells like TCP. Its not all that bad so I take it back.

Lastly from Tiger Luke (that boyfriend  thing I have been talking about) picked up a ghost card for his 10 year old nephew (lets hope he doesn't read my blog hey!) and a postcard for me, even if I did see it without him wanting me too.. These were 2 for £1.

So this isn't from Tiger but a random store in the middle of the Lewisham shopping centre.. its a massive scarf that I picked up for just £2.. I love it..

When Luke and I were waiting for the train we could have sworn the Queen was sat on the other side drinking a Costa and eating a chocolate bar...what do you think?!

So that was my little haul..I will for sure be going to Tiger stores every time I come down, you can get some amazing stuff in there. But for now I'm going to watch 'Funny People' on the projector ! (Luke doesn't own a telly..its the only option in this house!)

What have you been up to this weekend?!

Mother's Day Felt Flowers tutorial

Mother's Day is approaching so I have made these cute felt flower's that I think any mother would love to receive..and the best thing about them is they will last forever :)  Real flowers are always pretty but they don't last unfortunately. With the felt ones you can make all different designs and colours and the fact that you made them will be that bit extra. (plus is oober quick to do).

You will need:
*Any coloured felt (make sure you get some green felt for the leaves)
*Pencils (I bought mine in Wilko's for 8p each)
*Scissors
*Wool
*Fabric glue

Take a strip of fabric and cut a wiggly lines on one side. With some green felt cut out one or two leaf shapes..

With some fabric glue start wrapping the fabric around the top of the pencil..wiggly side up!

Once you have wrapped all the fabric and glued it into place take some wool and tie a tight knot around the flower to bunch it in just below half way..

Take the two leaves and wrap them in tightly with the flower..

Keep wrapping the wool round and round until you cant see any of the bottom of the flower. If you want you can continue wrapping it all the way down the pencil like i did and tie a knot at the bottom..
And WALA....you have a felt flower...

Hope you enjoyed....
