I got card crafting again...

So since my Valentines cards went down a treat at the coffee shop I decided to sit in bed, watch Take Me Out and make some more! That's what you call a good Sunday my friends! 

This time I went for a few Mother's Day card (remember guys..18th March! It always seems to come around without anyone reminding us!) and also some birthday cards. I did a few extra including a Thank You card and a Good Luck one too. Fingers crossed everyone likes them as much as they did the others! :)

Pixelated Love

Yesterday I saw on The Glue Gun Girl's blog a link to an amazing tutorial of a pixelated pop up card... so, I got a crafts knife and piece of card and hard a go... this was the outcome... (I'm pretty impressed!)

I tried to use my little brain and think of other images in could recreate. So here is my first attempt at a Pacman card! haha! Its rubbish but you get the jist!

Welsh Cakes

Before Christmas I joined in the fun when Weekly Bake Off hosted a secret santa for all of us online craft and cake junkies. My secret santa was from Debs and before I received her package I was a welsh cake virgin! She made me two bags full of all different christmassy shapes.. and they were B.E.A.UTIFUL! My other half kept eating them too without my permission! So since it was his birthday this week I though I would have a bash at making them.. :S I got the reciepe from the BBC food website - Click here for the recipe...

The bad boy is out..

I have seen far too many blogs now that are amazing tutorials using a sewing machine! So I'm biting the bullet and having a go! Alfie (the dog) doesn't seem too impressed though!! If you have any links to some good easy tutorials link them in the comments below! :)

Handmade Valentines Cards

There isn't a better time for me to start making cards than for Valentines Day. I bought the cards from The Range orignally to make Christmas cards. I know Christmas was sooo last year but I bought a lot of 

Christmassy things in the sale to make them. But then me and Mother hen went to the Range tonight and she made me buy these cute 3D sticker things!! I have made about 10 in total and will be selling them in the coffee shop I work in. The first one is a birthday card for my mum's friend but the rest are for Valentines day. They are simple yet unique.

I used a heart hole punch along the bottom of each card and put some pretty paper behind the holes. Then simply added some 3D stickers which were also bought from the Range and to top it of I added to the back of the card that it was handmade by myself. 

Oh and I popped it in a clear bag for that extra touch.

Didn't take long and had lots of fun! Perfect!

This was before I even started. Please tell me I'm not the only one who has the tittle of messy crafter?!

Kung Hey Fat Choi!!

Happy (Chinese) New year everyone!!

You may not know but I am a 1/4 Chinese (my dad is half) and even though I dont necessarily celebrate the Chinese new year I still like to acknowledge it. When I was very young my parents owned a Chinese Restaurant so we used to mark the occasion then. But, I will admit, I didnt know it was today until I got a text from my Grandma! yep, shes texts, cool grandma hey!
I was in Liverpool at an audition at lunch time and I had to walk through China Town to get to the venue so took a few pics of the madness!
This year is the year of the Dragon. I was born in the year of the Rabbit... you??

New Love...

I spent a hour or so last Saturday building this little beast! Its my all new, all pretty, all dazzling dressing table! I got it for Christmas of my lovely mum. Well... I got a picture of it on Christmas day because it hadn't arrived but I finally got it and I love it. It was actually so much fun putting it together as well. No help was needed so I am now a D.Y.I expert. (maybe not quite)

The table comes with stool and mirror and my mum got it from Argos, although you can buy the exact same one in Homebase and it is also available in white. She was originally going to get me the white one but I'm so happy I got the black because I think it looks awesome in my room. What do you think??
